Sunshine, a warm reception, and food deemed delicious by shoppers. All in all, I’d say Sunday was a fine day at Hillsdale Farmers’ Market.
And the icing on the cake – I got to meet Lorraine, who writes a great blog,
A Fork in the Road.
She tells of her day at the market, and lunch with The Farmer’s Feast at Springwater Farm’s booth. Read about it here.
Thanks, Lorraine – I’ll have hot soup for you, even when market weather is inclement…because on occasion, that has been known to happen at winter Farmers’ Markets!

About Kathryn LaSusa Yeomans
By offering Sage Culinary Advice, The Farmer's Feast assists Farmers' Market shoppers in making the most of their purchases, and helps vendors realize the culinary possibilities of their products. We create culinary education programs at Farmers' Markets. Through food preparation and cooking demonstrations, recipes focusing on technique, samples, stories and free advice, we're encouraging people to cook more often, from scratch, with market-fresh ingredients. Our goal? To cultivate domestic culinary arts. Once you've tasted the Farmer's Feast - glistening local produce, pastured meats, artisan cheese, wild seafood, rich nuts, grains and legumes - and see how easy cooking this bounty can be, you'll be hungry for fresh.

How lovely–this is the first time I’ve been mentioned on a blog. Thank you!
Oh, and I love that shot of the market.
